Chrome Will Be Unavailable to Windows 7

Google Chrome 110 is set to release February 7, 2023. With this release, Chrome will no longer support Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 so users will need to be running at least Windows 10 to maintain access to new builds.

Users have been speculating when Google would stop supporting old systems for a while. With the new Windows 11, it’s not surprising to see Chrome 110 will require newer operating systems to run.

Users can still install and run older releases of Chrome on PCs running older than Windows 10 but they’ll miss any enhancements and most importantly, security updates. Keeping your devices updated is the best option for security, so if you’re running anything older than Windows 10, it’s time to upgrade.
